Snowboard Contest and May the Fourth.

Greetings again internet, I am sorry for such a long delay but i have some awesome news! I recently entered a snowboard design contest sponsored by SOS Outreach, Workplace Resource, and K2 Snowboards and I was awarded first place. It was a really awesome experience. Huge thanks to SOS outreach and Workplace Resource for holding the event and K2 Snowboards for providing the prizes. Congratulations to all of the other artists for the awesome designs that were produced.

I am a huge Star Wars fan, and i felt really compelled to do a piece for May the Fourth. I am also a huge fan of J.C. Leyendecker and Norman Rockwell so i decided to do a Saturday Evening Post cover featuring my favorite Star Wars character of all time, Boba Fett. Enjoy.

Mega Post

It has been far too long since I have updated this thing and I have done quite a bit of work since the last post so this is going to be one mega post chronicling the last 6 months.

Back in 2012 I had the pleasure of meeting two brothers that own a ski pole company based in Denver. They gave the me awesome opportunity to design four ski poles for their 2013/2014 line. The poles are now in stores and are selling fast. To check out the whole line and buy a pair visit www.sickstickz.com

Last fall I also audited a class through my college as an alumni. It was a lot of fun to get back into that creative atmosphere and have a weekly group critique. The next few images are some pieces I did during the course.

 Lava Man elemental character design.

 Space shuttle Vehicle design

Space Cruiser Wreckage Environment painting.

Space Pirate Portrait.

I painted this piece for my girlfriend over the Holidays. Its a new take on the classic 1970's Star Wars poster painted by the Hildebrandt brothers, featuring our pets.

I painted this guy in honor of the SIA ski association Trade show being in town in January. His Name is Foggy Dobbins and he is the most aggressive freestyle mogul Skier ever to grace the slopes.

This is a collaboration piece I did with my good friend Stephen Ehrmann for another crit corner challenge. The idea was to have two characters facing off against each other. Steve and I decided to do Top gun in Space. I painted the blue guy on the right. For more of Steve's work check out his blog here: http://steviejillustration.blogspot.com/

Thanks for stopping by! I hope to have more updates coming soon.
